BELOW: PROJECT X BOOK 1
When a nine year old girl Falls into the dystopian circle of Nether, she must grow up as the Prime’s sworn assassin to survive – but as she becomes closer to the Prime’s son, she learns the city of Nether is far from what it seems.
The Premise
In Nether, people Fall from the sky. With no memory of their lives prior, they are thrown into the complex society existing Below. June is the youngest ever to Fall at the age of 9. Thus, she is ruthlessly regarded as being irregular. Or, as the Prime calls it, Deviant. There are many Deviant things about June, for instance, her ability to recall flashes of memory from before her Fall, or her impeccable aim with a blade. As a result, June’s pain is put to work. In Nether, failure to do so is lethal. After being enlisted as the Prime’s personal assassin, June is forced to ally with the Warden, none other than her enemy’s prized son. The two join forces when the Warden seeks information about Above, the nondescript locale from which they Fell. In turn, he will complete June’s rigorous interrogation missions. But June doesn’t anticipate what she learns as she grows closer to her enemy–perhaps Lord Garnet isn’t so different from her at all. Likewise, the world they live in is far from what it seems. This first instalment in The Project X Trilogy transports readers into the dystopian circle of Nether. Prepare for vigorous combat, tight security, and, of course, fierce tension between enemies.
